The last stroke of paint is on the very last grain elevator of this series...14 months in the works and the show will begin on November 1, 2011. It has been a lot of work, but I am really happy with series! Now, I guess there is no excuse not to get back to my dailies!

Beacon Fall Show and Sale
So, if you happen to be in Calgary this weekend, pop on in to check out the talents of our fall lineup of artists. There is so much to choose from this year, from paintings, sculpture, jewelry and fabric art!
This and my upcoming Edmonton solo show have taken up most of my painting efforts, but I look forward to getting back to the daily paintings in the new year!

Mango with Mexican Scarf
oil on canvas
6 x 6
This is the last in the series of square paintings with the Mexican scarf. I jove the variety of colors in the mango - this one was a delight to paint! All four squares are available for purchase on my etsy site at www.etsy.com/shop/kristinasteinbring.

Piggyback
oil on canvas
10 x 10
Although this is not one of my usual daily paintings - I actually completed it in two sittings - I thought I would include it anyway, as it was painted from life and always fits in so nicely with my other pepper paintings. I had a lot of fun with this composition, as well as with depicting the colors and sheen of the peppers.
